Richard Robinson is the CEO of Tickex.com. Richard is responsible for driving all aspects of our company strategy and commercialization efforts.

Previously, Richard worked as the Operations Director for a UK subsidiary of AngloAmerican, the World's leading diamond mining and natural resource company. In this role Richard lead the turnaround of a previously unsuccessful acquisition, returning the business back to profit from a heavy loss making position.

Richard began his career as a chemical engineer at ICI Acrylics, where he designed and commissioned multi-million dollar operating units, as well as leading the development of new technology that still remains industry leading today.

Richard holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Nottingham Universtity, and an M.B.A. from the HEC Paris School of Management. Richard graduated 'Dean's List' from HEC for outstanding academic and extra-curricular contribution to the school.

Richard also won selection for an exchange to the NYU Stern School of business, where he ranked top 5% academically and was published in the prestigious Stern Journal as co-author of a paper on 'Bankruptcy in UK Football'. This paper also won Richard the New York Turnaround Management Association's prize for best article, judged across Stern and Columbia Business schools.

For his MBA, Richard was selected to receive the esteemed Sainsbury Management Fellowship award full scholarship, an award made to only the ten most outstanding engineering graduates in business per year in the UK.

In his spare time, Richard is a keen golfer, playing to a handicap of 3. He is also a passionate alpine skier and (claims!) to have skied the toughest runs in Europe.
