We want your search for tickets to be easy. Our Tickex tool is the largest database for live event tickets on the web making it more transparent and easier to find what you are looking for. We want you to feel confident that you are getting the best deal for the ticket you buy.

You can see every ticket for sale whether it is from the primary ticket agent or from a secondary ticket website. Please contact us, whatever your comments, at

1.01 Why do we need Tickex?
Tickex is designed to revolutionise the ticket market by creating a transparent guide to buying tickets.

  • Primary tickets: Official Tickets that are sold by the concerts promoter via a box office or agent such as ticketmaster.com. Primary tickets are always sold at the face value plus fees and postage costs. Once the Primary ticket agent has sold its allocation it is rare to release further tickets.
  • Secondary tickets: Secondary ticket brokers are not bound to sell the tickets for face value. The secondary market consists of a mix of individuals and organisations selling tickets. Tickets to ‘sold out’ events are sold via the secondary market.

It is common for tickets that are still available in the primary market to be on sale in the secondary market. Always check the primary market first.

1.02 How does Tickex work?
We list all the tickets in price order and add location. New functionality is being added all the time, soon you will be able to sort in every way possible.

1.03 Are fees included in the listed price?
No, we list the price per ticket as shown on the website. Below is a list of fees for all the sites we use, plus other box office numbers.

Primary / Secondary Company Name Av. Handlng Fees* Av. Postage Charge*
Primary Ticketmaster.com 12% £3.20
Primary SeeTickets.co.uk 11.5% £4.80
Primary LiveNation.co.uk 12% £3.20
Primary Stargreen.com 13% £4.95
Primary TicketSwitch.com 12% £2.17
Secondary Seatwave.com 15% £5.00
Secondary Viagogo.com 15% £4.99
Secondary Ebay.com 0% £4.30
Secondary stubhub.com 15% $10.30
Secondary GetMeIn 25% £5.00

*Fees and postage can vary, fees and postage are an average taken over a number of events at a specific time

1.04 Does Tickex.com guarantee tickets bought from other sites?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee tickets bought from third parties such as Ticketmaster, Seatwave or MyTicketMarket.

1.05 I am trying to buy a ticket, how can I get the best deal?
Always check out the primary market first, tickets can be released at any time. Try the venue box office, some of the main theatre box office numbers are listed.

  • If buying tickets through the secondary market then check the refund policy and the Guarantees that are offered. Always pay by a method that is protected such as a good credit card or PayPal.
  • Insist on a delivery date
  • Keep all emails and reference numbers
  • Communicate by email so you have a record of any promises made
  • Insist on a secure delivery.
  • Check the tickets are correct as soon as they arrive and report any problems as soon as possible
  • Always ask for a face value for the specific tickets you are buying
  • Check the sites are secure, this is indicated by the padlock next to your search bar
  • Tickets will not always be in hand, you may receive the tickets days before the event even if you have ordered them months before
  • Use a guaranteed webpage, but check what the Guarantee covers
  • Meeting up with strangers to exchange cash can be dangerous, it is safer to use a trusted web based company to handle your transaction

This is a guide only, Tickex.com does not accept responsibility for tickets bought on other websites.

  • Select the event you are looking for
  • Browse the selection of tickets from a variety of websites for the right ticket for you

1.13 There are events listed but no tickets available, why?

It is possible that we have events listed that have no tickets for sale. We do list all events even if there are no tickets currently available for that particular event. There may be no tickets available for a number of reasons:

  • There may be no tickets available for that event at that moment in time.
  • The event may be too soon in the near future for the tickets to be delivered on time.
  • All tickets may have been sold already.

Do not be discouraged however, we constantly re-check sites for new tickets.

1.14 I have found the ticket I want to buy, what do I do now?
  • If the ticket is listed in the Tickex results click on the text and you will be taken directly to the page to buy the ticket.
